On Saturday, November 29th, MindsILike Multidisciplinary Hybrid Wellness Clinic proudly launched our first-ever Men’s Health & Wellness Series, a transformative wellness space created to uplift, center, and honour the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of Black, African, Caribbean, and racialized men, including trans men, queer men, Two-Spirit, non-binary, and gender-diverse men.
Hosted online, the launch brought together community members, wellness practitioners, and emerging facilitators for a powerful 90 minutes of grounding, learning, connection, and care. This gathering marked more than an event, it marked the beginning of a long-term commitment to creating culturally grounded, inclusive wellness pathways where all men, across identities and lived experiences, are seen and supported.
A Powerful Opening
Our afternoon opened with Honore, who offered a thoughtful Land Acknowledgment and an overview grounded in intention and care.
He reminded us that this series was designed to create a healing-centred space where Black and racialized men, including gender-diverse men, can breathe, reflect, learn, heal, and show up authentically without judgement or fear.
From the very first moments, the virtual room felt warm, open, and full of possibility.

Mindfulness to Set the Tone
Cooper then led participants through a gentle Mindfulness Grounding Session, inviting everyone to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and release the tensions of daily life.
This was more than a mindfulness exercise, it was a collective reminder that men deserve softness, stillness, and care.
It affirmed that healing is not a privilege but a right, especially for gender-diverse men whose wellness journeys are often overlooked.
Holistic Nutrition for Men’s Wellness
Next, Sean Hew Wing, Holistic Nutritionist with One Peace Therapy, shared powerful insights about the direct relationship between nourishment and wellness. Sean emphasized accessible ways for men, with diverse body types, lifestyles, and health needs, to support their mental clarity, energy, and overall well-being.
Participants left with practical tools to integrate nutrition into their day-to-day routines with intention and cultural awareness.
Tools for Holistic Living
The final session from Kwasi Adu Poku explored Holistic Wellness Tools for Men. Kwasi’s session was grounding and affirming, offering practices such as breathwork, journaling, movement, spiritual grounding, and community-based care.
His message was clear: Men heal best when they heal together, and that includes trans men, non-binary men, and gender-diverse men whose stories are essential to our collective wellness.

Looking Ahead: A Hybrid Wellness Journey Begins January 2026
The gathering closed with reflections and gratitude from Cooper and Honore, looking forward to the exciting next chapter.
