As winter settles in and the air turns crisp, it’s a gentle reminder that our self-care routines should evolve with the seasons. On Wednesday, November 5th, Mindsilike hosted a special IG Live edition of Wind Down Wednesdays, where, Princess George, a Child and Youth Care student clinician with Mindsilike, explored wellness through an entrepreneurial lens.Â
We were honored to be joined by Latesha Thomas, Founder & CEO of @yaga.mylocs, who shared her perspective on staying grounded while growing a business and nurturing her community. Latesha emphasized that wellness and entrepreneurship are deeply interconnected. Taking care of yourself fuels creativity, productivity, and the ability to lead with intention. Â
During the conversation, Latesha shared practical strategies for balancing ambition with self-care:Â
- Mindful routines:Â Starting the day with meditation, journaling, or intentional planning can set a positive tone.Â
- Intentional pauses:Â Scheduling short breaks during work to stretch, breathe, or step outside helps prevent burnout.Â
- Community connection:Â Engaging with supportive networks and mentors strengthens resilience and provides accountability.Â
- Seasonal self-care rituals:Â Simple acts, like enjoying a warm beverage, reading a favorite book, or embracing cozy moments, can have a powerful impact on mental health.Â
The session reminded viewers that self-care isn’t a luxury, t’s a foundation for sustained growth and well-being. Even during busy weeks, taking time to slow down, refill your cup, and reflect on purpose is crucial. Â
Wind Down Wednesdays is a space to explore wellness practices, connect with inspiring entrepreneurs, and celebrate the small, intentional moments that help us thrive. This fall/ Winter, wrap yourself in a cozy sweater, breathe deeply, and give yourself permission to rest and recharge. Your well-being is not only vital for yourself but also for the communities and ventures you care about.Â
Stay connected with Mindsilike for future Wind Down Wednesdays and join us in conversations that support self-care, community, and purposeful living.Â
